Biomass Systems Price Guide

Perpetual Energy supplies, installs and maintains containerised biomass heating systems. Below is a list of budgetary prices to install a standard biomass boiler.  Please note that the guide prices are for plant without automatic ash extraction.

*Please note that with larger plant it may be more economical to install the plant within a light weight building.  If the customer can provide this the cost of the larger plant may be ~10% to 20% cheaper.

  • Auto ignition Biomass Boiler/s
  • 1000 litre Thermal Store (where requested)
  • Four tonnes pellet store with auger feed for under 200kW and 8 ton pellet store with auger for over 200kW
  • Weather proof container/s
  • Controls and auxiliary plant
*Excludes:
  • Site modifications & delivery to site – access, geotechnical surveys etc
  • Civil or building works necessary to accommodate plant
  • Permitting (planning or emission consents)
  • Pipe or cable connections to premises
  • Communication costs if applicable
  • Operations and Maintenance.

Transitional arrangements:
  • Pre 15 July 2009 - all sub50kW units registered under RO will be transferred to FIT (9p/kWH).
  • All sub50kW units not registering under the RO as of 15 July 2009 will NOT be eligible for FITs.
  • Post 15 July 2009 but pre FIT implementation date - all units will be eligible for FIT tariff as if they were installed post FIT implementation. No retrospective reward for the interim period will be delivered over and above the 2ROCs currently available.
  • LCBP grants and other grant will NOT effect FIT eligibility.

Key
Stations that apply for accreditation under the RO during the interim period would be automatically transferred to FITs with a reduction in the lifetime of support.
Choice only possible until December 2010. Unless FIT option is explicitly taken generator will remain in the RO.
